A novel micro-encapsulation technology: organic UV filters are encapsulated in silica-based capsules, which are invisible in formulation and on the skin. Encapsulated filters have a low chemical load since the encapsulation process prevents direct skin contact (encapsulated organic filters remain on top of the skin surface) resulting in a reduced dermal up-take and low allergy potential.
Vitamin C
A stable ester form of Vitamin C (Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate). Boosts collagen production, brightens the skin by inhibiting melanogenesis (the production of pigment- melanin) and demonstrates strong antioxidant activity.
Botanical Antioxidant Complex
A proprietary botanical complex containing active molecules from 6 different plants (Shiso, Green tea, Centella, Ginkgo, Pine and Echinacea). Rich in rosmarinic acid (from Shiso), polyphenol Epigallocatechin gallate (from Green tea), asiaticoside (from Centella), flavonoids (from Ginkgo), pycogenol (from Pine) and cichoric acid (from Echinacea), Demonstrates strong antioxidant activity to help reduce formation of hazardous free radicals and prevent oxidative damage.
Glutamylamidoethyl Imidazole
A pseudodipetide with cytokine-like activity. Acts as an anti-aging, anti-pollution, anti-stress, antioxidant and protective agent. Stimulates the signal transduction pathway in the cells, improves the immune cells’ response and restores the immune defence.
Hyaluronic Acid
A full spectrum of molecular weights of sodium hyaluronate working in synergy. Shows different activities: improves skin moisture, strengthens the barrier function, helps to retain and maintain skin elasticity, reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and restores skin suppleness.
Vitamin E (Tocopherol)
A naturally derived vitamin with powerful antioxidant and photoprotective properties. Tocopherol is an excellent moisturiser that helps to reduce water loss and strengthen the skin’s natural barrier.
Endonuclease
An enzyme extracted from Micrococcus and encapsulated in multilamellar liposomes. This naturally occurring enzyme recognises UV damage and accelerates DNA repair. It also stimulates the production of melanin in the tanning response following UV exposure.
